Text and Representations
(Hold Your Horses! 2010 '70 Million', online video, retrieved 8 June 2010 from, http://vimeo.com/9752986)
This new video from Hold Your Horses! shows the band going through art history by displaying their own representation of famous paintings and art works throughout time. It is an example of the use of intertexuality. The band takes the settings and recognisable aspects of the famous artworks and create their own representations and interpretations through their music. The idea of going through history suits the lyrics of the song as they have a story telling feel to them.
